Welcome to day three of Halloween Hoppin'!
I had planned on creating an adorable kitty wall hanging. It would really be perfect for any time of the year with a simple change in colors. Then 2020 happened.
My mom was diagnosed with COVID and my mind went to mush. It was a long couple of touch and go weeks with her! Thankfully, she is now at home recuperating!
Instead, let me introduce you to my favorite quilt... The Fall Quilt!
Yes, it really is called "The Fall Quilt." It's the perfect lap size for the first cuddles in the autumn. I leave it laying on my couch for part of my autumn décor. When making it, I used scraps of red, orange, brown, and greens for the HST leaves. The only fabric I actually purchase was the leaf fabric from Jo-Anns. (Gasp. Yes I do use fabric from Jo Ann occasionally. I just make sure it looks and feels good before I buy.)
You can find the pattern in my new Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheQuiltedDiary
If you're wanting a cute wall hanging to use summer through fall, you might like this one:
Next year I plan to hang "On the Table" in my kitchen. This would also make a nice Christmas present for someone who is into rustic or country decorating. The blocks were originally part of "Quilt Block Mania." The Quilt Block Mania is in it's second quarter. You can find the complimentary October block here.
The next block is released November 3, 2020. The theme is Christmas. I will be turning my 12 1/2" block into a pillow.
