What is Quilt Block Mania?
QBM is hosted by a group of quilt pattern designers who love creativity and sharing with our customers!
Each month we design a block around a theme and then share the complimentary patterns for free during the specific month. Come find a new fun, themed pattern in the Facebook group!
How is The Quilted Diary participating?
I'm so glad you asked! Each month I will share a complimentary quilt block pattern with you via email. Sign-up once and it will be delivered each month directly to your inbox. (Check your Spam if you can't find it in your In-box.) The block is free through the end of the current month then it becomes available in my Etsy shop for $0.99. Trust me, I really don't make money off of Quilt Block Mania. I do it because I love it!
There's a monthly video too?
Yep! There is! (Almost.) I am working on them right now and they will also be available each month. You can find them on my Facebook page or on Rumble.
So I'm making The Quilted Diary's blocks, what should I do with them?
Make a quilt! If you collect all 12 blocks through 2025, I will be sending out finishing instructions in December to put together your 42" x 54" mystery quilt! Hang tight, and check back soon for yardage if you want to create a stash for this block of the month!
Anything else you want to tell me about The Quilt Diary QBM 2025?
Sure! This years quilt is all traditional blocks. I'm focusing on color and photo-inspiration for each months theme. I'm sure at one point of another we have all struggled with picking the perfect colors for a quilt and need a little quilt-iration. I have always found color inspiration in photographs - mostly landscapes. When I received the themes for 2025, I scrolled through the endless photos on my phone and found ones that represented (almost) each theme. It has been so fun! This quilt is full of memories for me!
If you decide to join along, I'd love to see you create a quilted diary based off of your pictures. Every quilt tells a story! In the videos, I will share a little about color, tips for the traditional block we're creating and anything else that comes to mind!
I can't wait to get started. First block is coming in March 2025.
